Porcelain veneers can completely transform a smile — but the goal should never be to make every smile look the same. The best veneer cases look natural, intentional, and completely unique to the person wearing them.
Dr. Olivia Moran looks at much more than just the teeth. She studies your face, lips, smile line, gum display, tooth proportions, bite, and overall personality to create a smile that feels beautiful, natural, and truly fitting for you. If you look through the smile gallery, you’ll see that every smile is different. Some patients want a bigger, brighter, more “hollywood” smile. Others want something soft, natural, and subtle. Some cases involve improving worn-down teeth, closing spaces, widening the smile, correcting uneven edges, or replacing old bonding that no longer looks natural.
Dr. Moran performs many porcelain veneer and smile makeover cases and has completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, smile design, and comprehensive treatment planning and executing complex cases. Every case is planned and executed with close attention to shape, length, shade, translucency, symmetry, facial balance, and just as important, how the teeth function together.
Each set of porcelain veneers is custom-designed by Dr. Moran and handcrafted in collaboration with some of the best master ceramists in the U.S. From the initial design to the temporary veneers and final porcelain restorations, every detail is refined so the final smile looks natural, polished, and harmonious with your face.
If you are unsure if you need a smile makeover, veneers, or a full mouth rehabilitation – the best thing to do is schedule your first appointment with Dr. Moran in San Francisco so she can see how she can improve your smile!

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are permanently cemented on the front of the teeth to enhance the shape, shade and esthetics of the tooth.
It depends on the patient's needs, their teeth health, and the overall smile they want. The more veneers done, the more control we have in changing the overlook esthetics and the overall bite. It also depends on the budget of the patient. Doing two or four veneers can greatly improve a patient's smile. We avoid doing six veneers in a row as this means stopping at the canines which makes the smile unnatural and the veneers conspicuous.
No. Veneers don’t actively damage your teeth. However, it’s still possible for the natural tooth structure underneath to decay. Therefore, it’s important to brush, floss and visit your dentist regularly for cleanings.
It depends. Most veneers are considered a semi-permanent solution. Porcelain veneers can last over a decade with proper care, while composite veneers may need replacing after 5–7 years. With good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, your veneers can look great for years to come.
