Patient Case Study – Replacing Stained Composite Bonding • Improving Tooth Shape • Widening the Smile
My patient broke her front teeth a few years ago in an accident. At the time, she had composite bonding placed to repair them. Over the years, she kept needing the bonding replaced and was never fully happy with how her teeth looked. The shape wasn’t quite right and the bonding would stain over time.
She finally decided she was ready for a full smile makeover. Her main goals were to have a bigger, wider smile and improve the shape of her teeth so they matched her face better.
There were several things that needed to be addressed to achieve her goals:

10 upper porcelain veneers:

The results are absolutely beautiful. My patient is ecstatic about her new smile and can’t stop showing it off.
With 10 veneers we were able to increase the size of her teeth, improve the triangular shape by making the teeth slightly longer and more rounded (giving a softer, more feminine look), brighten the shade while still keeping it very natural and tooth-like, and create a more symmetrical and wider smile that flows better with her face.
One of the most interesting things from this case is that because she now loves her smile so much, she no longer feels the need to do lip filler. In the final photo you can see her lips are completely natural and they now look very proportional to her teeth and smile.
