12 porcelain veneers with a gum lift/crown lengthening to improve a gummy smile, smaller teeth, and a larger overbite. This smile makeover was designed to create better tooth proportions, a fuller smile, and a beautiful, natural result for her wedding day.
14 porcelain veneers/crowns with a gum lift/crown lengthening to create a healthier, brighter, and more confident smile. This case combined a cosmetic smile makeover with restorative dentistry, improving her tooth shape, color, and gum balance while also restoring teeth with large cavities. The final result was a beautiful new smile that improved both her confidence and her oral health.
10 porcelain veneers for a natural-looking smile makeover to restore broken front teeth, improve tooth shape, and create a fuller, more balanced smile. This case was designed around my patient's face, lips, and personality so her new smile looked beautiful, confident, and still completely like her.
Full mouth reconstruction to restore severely worn teeth from years of acid reflux, rebuild his bite, and create a healthier, more confident smile. This case completely transformed his smile, facial support, and overall appearance — and it has been amazing to see how much his life and health have changed throughout the process.
10 porcelain veneers/crowns to replace old restorations that my patient never really loved. He wanted his new smile to look very natural — nothing too dramatic or overdone — so we focused on making his smile wider, more cohesive, and more symmetrical while still keeping it subtle, masculine, and completely like him.
A beautiful porcelain veneer smile makeover for my wonderful 78-year-old patient! She had wanted veneers for years and finally decided to go for it. We designed her new smile to look brighter, fuller, and more youthful — but still natural and beautiful with her face. She was initially nervous about going too white, but after wearing the temporary veneers, she realized she loved a brighter smile. We found the perfect happy medium: white, fresh, and youthful, but still soft and natural.
10 porcelain veneers for a natural-looking smile makeover to restore broken front teeth, improve tooth shape, and create a fuller, more balanced smile. This case was designed around my patient's face, lips, and personality so her new smile looked beautiful, confident, and still completely like her.
A brand new smile using a combination of bridges, crowns, and veneers. This case rebuilt missing and damaged teeth, improved the shape and color of the smile, and created a healthier, more natural-looking result for my patient.
A new set of upper porcelain veneers for my wonderful patient. We replaced her old veneers with thinner, less opaque veneers that look softer, more natural, and fit her face much better. The new smile improved the shape of her teeth, closed the spaces, and created a more beautiful, balanced result. My patient is also a breast cancer survivor and has always been so positive, even throughout treatment. I'm so happy to see her healthy again and smiling with a brand new smile.
Veneers and a gum lift for a beautiful yet subtle smile makeover
12 porcelain veneers to restore worn-down teeth and bring back the smile my patient had when she was younger. She even sent me old photos so we could design her mock-up and temporaries around the smile she used to love. Since her teeth had worn down so much, I raised her bite to create room to lengthen the front teeth and rebuild better proportions. My patient is an art curator, so she has an incredible eye for detail — and she definitely noticed every little thing! We spent a lot of time refining the shape, length, and overall look until it felt right. The final result gave her a new smile that still felt like her old smile, just healthier, fuller, and more youthful.
This case may look straightforward, but it was a long journey. My patient first came in with pain on her front tooth and was also unhappy with the two front crowns she had done elsewhere. We found a large abscess and a failed root canal, so one of the teeth unfortunately had to be extracted. While the extraction and implant were healing, we used Invisalign to align her teeth, improve her bite, and get her smile in a better position. Once everything was healed, we finished with 1 implant crown, 1 crown, and 2 porcelain veneers to bring everything together. After a lot of patience, she finally got her smile back — and we are so happy for her!
10 porcelain veneers to upgrade my wonderful patient's smile after years of not feeling confident about his teeth. We improved the shade, shape, symmetry, spaces, and black triangles to create a brighter, more balanced smile. He came to me after not seeing a dentist for over 10 years, so we started with a very thorough deep cleaning, then Invisalign, and finally veneers to give him the smile he always wanted and deserved.
22 porcelain veneers for my awesome patient who wanted a major smile upgrade. He naturally had smaller, darker teeth and wanted a bigger, brighter smile that still looked good with his face. He was not used to smiling much before, but now he can't stop. Cases like this are exactly why I love doing smile makeovers — it is so special seeing how much a new smile can change someone's confidence.
So happy for my patient's new smile! She had been unhappy with her smile for years after breaking her front teeth when she was younger. Over time, her old crowns and natural teeth became darker and more discolored, and after years in braces, her smile still looked tilted to one side. We did a combination of 8 porcelain veneers/crowns with a gum lift to even out her gums, improve the color, and create a more balanced smile. This was a challenging case because the teeth under her old crowns were very dark from root canals, so the planning and porcelain work had to be very precise to make sure the darkness didn't show through. Her final smile looks bright, natural, and beautiful — and seeing her so happy in her engagement photos made this case even more special.
An absolutely beautiful smile makeover with 8 veneers; I increase the size of her teeth and widened her smile, and what a huge difference it has made.
So happy for my amazing longtime patient and her new smile! We did 10 porcelain veneers with a gum lift/crown lengthening to improve her gummy smile, make her teeth look bigger, and create a brighter, more balanced smile. She had been thinking about doing a smile makeover for a while and finally decided to go for it — and she looks so much more refreshed and youthful. She is truly such a joy to be around, so this whole process was so much fun. I'm so happy she loves her new smile!
8 porcelain veneers for a patient who had a lot of staining, erosion, and worn-down teeth from grinding and coffee. He wanted his smile to look better and healthier, but still very natural — nothing too white or attention-grabbing. The final result is dramatically improved but still subtle, masculine, and completely like him.
10 porcelain veneers with gingivectomies to restore worn-down teeth, brighten her smile, and create better tooth proportions. This was such a fun case because my patient was very aware of all the little details — the length, texture, speech, and how everything felt in her mouth. We spent time making sure her veneers not only looked beautiful, but also felt comfortable and functioned naturally. That is always the goal: a smile that looks amazing, but still feels like her own teeth.
A beautiful veneer and implant case for my wonderful patient. Her biggest concerns were that her teeth looked tilted, one side looked too protruded, and the shape of the teeth on that side felt sharp and uneven to her. After years of trying to correct it with Invisalign, she finally decided to move forward with a more comprehensive smile makeover. We did 9 porcelain veneers and an implant to correct the tilt, improve the shape of her teeth, and create a more balanced smile. The biggest difference is not just in her smile, but also in the way her teeth look when she talks. Her smile looks more symmetrical, natural, and harmonious with her face — and I'm so happy for her.
A full set of upper and lower porcelain veneers for my wonderful patient. She had 20+ year-old veneers that had become dark, and she had been unhappy with them for a long time. She finally decided to replace them and do both the top and bottom teeth so we could create the brighter smile she wanted. Because she wanted a very white shade, treating the lower teeth was important so everything matched and still looked natural. Her bottom teeth were also dark and worn down, so we raised her bite and rebuilt the smile in a way that looked brighter, wider, more symmetrical, and much more balanced. She is so happy with her new smile and can't stop smiling!
A beautiful full mouth reconstruction using crowns and veneers to rebuild my patient's worn-down teeth, open his collapsed bite, close spaces, and give him a healthier, more youthful smile. Over time, his bite had collapsed, which made his front teeth hit too hard and caused them to chip, shorten, and create spaces where food would get stuck. The extra pressure also led to cracking and chipping on his back teeth. By treating the full mouth together, I was able to open his bite, rebuild proper tooth length, reduce pressure on his jaw and teeth, and create a stronger, more balanced smile that looks younger and functions better.
This was such a meaningful case. My patient had a terrible fall after unexpectedly having a seizure and broke several of his front teeth — right after we had finished his Invisalign treatment. After he recovered, we had to take it step by step: splinting the teeth, making sure everything healed properly, coordinating with the oral surgeon and endodontist, and giving everything time to settle. After about 6 months of healing, we were finally able to restore his smile with crowns and veneers. He is one of those patients who is always happy and always smiling, so being able to give him his smile back meant so much. He's healthy now, his teeth look amazing, and I'm so happy for him.
My wonderful patient had been missing her front teeth since she was young, so this was a really meaningful case. It was a long process — we started with Invisalign to move everything into a better position, then finished with veneers and a bridge to give her the smile she always wanted. She told me her coworkers think she's funny now because she can't stop smiling at work
4 very natural veneers to replace old composite bonding and chips; resulting in a beautiful and seamless smile.
My patient started his smile and oral health journey with me back in 2020. He came in with a lot of cavities, unhealthy gums, and a crossbite, so we first focused on getting his mouth healthy — treating the cavities, improving his gums, and then doing Invisalign to fix his bite. Once we finished Invisalign, he decided to take the final step and get the smile he had always wanted. We completed his veneer smile makeover, and now he says his face muscles hurt because he can't stop smiling 😂 Cases like this really put everything into perspective — it's such a privilege to help someone feel this happy and confident with their smile.
A full mouth reconstruction to rebuild my patient's smile after years of putting his teeth and health on the back burner. This year-long case included deep cleaning, implants, root canals, veneers, crowns, and implant crowns to restore his oral health and create a stronger, healthier smile. He wanted to keep his gap — even though I tried to talk him out of it 😂 — and I'm so glad we did, because it kept the final result completely him.
My patient had an old discolored crown on one front tooth and a gap between her two front teeth that she had wanted to fix for years. She found me in the funniest way — from a bold comment I posted on a tech CEO's post about needing veneers 😂 The CEO never responded, but she did! We treated her two front teeth with one porcelain veneer and one crown to close the space, improve the color, and blend everything seamlessly with her natural teeth. She's so happy with the result, and I love how natural and confident her smile looks now.
Porcelain veneers can completely transform a smile — but the goal should never be to make every smile look the same. The best veneer cases look natural, intentional, and completely unique to the person wearing them.

Veneers can improve a smile from good to great. Sometimes patients just want a better, more perfect smile. Veneers are the perfect option as we are able to customize shade, shape, and size of the veneers to exactly what the patient wants.

Years of teeth discoloration from diet or tetracycline stains are usually permanent and whitening will not bring you the shade you want for your teeth. Veneers are the best option as we can customize the shade to be lighter but also look natural and harmonious to your skin tone and the rest of your face.

Sometimes patients don't want to go through Invisalign to fix minor imperfections in the position of their teeth. Veneers are the perfect option to enhance the look of the teeth and have a straighter smile within just three weeks. NOTE: For severely crowded teeth or patients with a bad bite, it may be important to do Invisalign first prior to doing veneers.

Due to diet, health issues, lack of dental care, or other external factors, patients can end up with broken, decayed or eroded teeth when they get older. No matter the situation, we always work with the patient and make a treatment plan to bring their teeth back to health and to give back their smile.

Having small teeth relative your face, lips, and smile, can impact a smile. Bigger teeth can make a smile more youthful, wider and proportional to the face. Veneers help change the shape of teeth to fit with their smile and face.

Years of grinding or excess wear on the front teeth can cause the front teeth to chip and flatten out. This can affect your chewing, your bite, your smile and even a more collapsed lower third of your face. Veneers and crowns can add length back to the teeth resulting in a better bite, building back your smile and increasing back the height of the lower third of your face.

Black triangles are holes in between your teeth previously filled with gums that have now receded. This can cause food traps and can lead to patients being insecure with the gaps in their teeth and smile. With veneers we can shape the teeth a certain way to close the black triangles but still allow for a natural and beautiful smile.

Veneers can last a long time. However, sometimes patients may want an upgrade, a new look, or some veneers may start to chip or stain at the margin where gum recession happens. Whatever the reason, we will remove the old veneers and place new and improved veneers catered to what the patient wants.

There is so much information online about veneers, and it can feel like every dentist says they do veneers now. I know it can be overwhelming because veneers are a big decision — financially, emotionally, and personally. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, informed, and confident that we are designing a smile that fits you and gives you the result you are hoping for.
This is where I get to meet you and understand what brings you in. Some patients want a small improvement. Some want a dramatic smile makeover. Some have worn-down teeth, old bonding, old crowns, bite problems, or a combination of cosmetic and functional concerns. Many patients come in knowing how many veneers they’ll need.
I take into account what the patient thinks they want but I also try to make them understand the results they will get and the different options with more or less veneers.I take photos and a digital scan of your teeth so I can really evaluate your smile, bite, tooth shape, proportions, and overall dental health. If you have a lot of existing dental work, cavities, crowns, or other concerns, I may also take x-rays.
Then I’ll go over what I recommend, how many veneers I recommend you need, and whether anything else needs to be done before we start. Every case is different, and this is why planning matters so much.
Before we start the actual veneers process, I take detailed records of your face, smile, and teeth. I use these photos to design the smile and make sure the shape, length, and proportions make sense for your face.
This is the part I really love because small details make a huge difference. A smile can look beautiful on a model but not fit a real person’s face. I’m looking at how the teeth frame your smile, how much tooth shows when you talk, how the smile fits your lips, and whether the final result will look natural on you.
From there, I work with the lab to create a mock-up so we have a clear plan before touching the teeth.
This is the appointment where I shape the teeth, take the final scan or impression, and make your temporary veneers.
The question everyone asks is, “How much tooth do you have to remove?” And the answer really depends on your teeth and your goals. I always remove the minimum amount needed to get the best result.
If we are making teeth bigger, longer, or bringing them slightly forward, sometimes I barely have to remove anything. If the teeth are flared, crowded, dark, or if we are closing spaces or black triangles, then I may need to shape more so the veneers do not look bulky or fake.
This is why planning is so important. I need to know where I want the final tooth position to be to determine how much tooth I have to remove, if any. If I remove too little, the veneers may look thick or unnatural. If I remove too much, then we lose more tooth structure than needed. My goal is always to find that balance so the veneers look beautiful, natural, and still preserve as much healthy tooth as possible.
You will be numb during this appointment, so you should not feel pain while I am working. Afterward, sensitivity or gum soreness is normal and usually improves each day.
After you wear the temporary veneers for a few days, I’ll see you again to evaluate them. This appointment is extremely important.
This is when you tell me what you like, what you want adjusted, and how everything feels when you smile, talk, and bite. I also take a lot of close-up and full-face photos because veneers cannot just look good up close. They have to look good in your face.
I spend a lot of time refining aand designing the temporaries because the final veneers are based on them. If the temporaries look natural, fit your face, and look almost perfect, then I can be ensure the final veneers will be just as good and even better. The temporaries is how I communicate to the lab as to how exactly to make the veneers. We will also choose the shade in this appointment and the different characteristics you may want to add to your final veneers.
The final veneers are usually ready about three weeks later.
At this appointment, I remove the temporaries, try in the veneers, and let you see them before they are bonded. Once you love them, we cement them permanently.
This appointment takes time because bonding veneers is very technique-sensitive. The gums need to be healthy, there should be no bleeding, and the teeth need to stay very dry. I take my time cleaning everything, bonding each veneer properly, removing excess cement, and checking your bite. You will feel pretty sore after this appointment as the cement and bond make the teeth sensitive and the gums will feel sore from removing excess cement. Advil and Tylenol is the best pain relief if needed.
After the veneers are placed, I’ll usually see you again to check your bite, gums, comfort, and overall result.
Most patients will need a night guard or retainers especially if they grind or clench. Veneers are strong, but they still need to be protected. Regular cleanings, good home care, and wearing your night guard/retainers are what help keep your veneers healthy and beautiful for many years.
The goal is not just to give you a pretty smile the day we cement the veneers. The goal is to give you a smile that looks natural, feels comfortable, functions well, and lasts.
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are permanently cemented on the front of the teeth to enhance the shape, shade and esthetics of the tooth.
It depends on the patient's needs, their teeth health, and the overall smile they want. The more veneers done, the more control we have in changing the overlook esthetics and the overall bite. It also depends on the budget of the patient. Doing two or four veneers can greatly improve a patient's smile. We avoid doing six veneers in a row as this means stopping at the canines which makes the smile unnatural and the veneers conspicuous.
No. Veneers don’t actively damage your teeth. However, it’s still possible for the natural tooth structure underneath to decay. Therefore, it’s important to brush, floss and visit your dentist regularly for cleanings.
It depends. Most veneers are considered a semi-permanent solution. Porcelain veneers can last over a decade with proper care, while composite veneers may need replacing after 5–7 years. With good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, your veneers can look great for years to come.
Yes. If you value a bright, confident smile and want fast, long-lasting results without invasive surgery, veneers are absolutely worth considering. They’re not a budget option, but they are a high-impact investment in your appearance and self-esteem. Patients at Me Dental SF often tell us the results were “life-changing” — and many say they wish they’d done it sooner.
The whole process takes up to one month.
1. The first appointment consists of the consultation, determining the wants and needs of the patient, comprehensive digital photography of the full face and teeth of the patient and doing a digital scan. These are sent to the lab to fabricate a wax up.
2. The second appointment will be to prep the teeth and make the temporary veneers. The temporaries are made based on the wax up. The patient will have a few days to test run the temporaries and will be seen a few days after to make any final adjustments.
3. Lastly, the cementation date takes place 2-3 weeks after the prep appointment. This includes cementing the final veneers.
The temporary veneers gives an idea to the patient as to how the final veneers will look like. The temporaries veneers are made from the wax up from the lab. We send in detailed photos and descriptions as to what the patient wants and what the teeth should look like when giving the instructions to the lab for the wax up. When the temporary veneers are on the patient, the patient has a few days to "test drive" the temporaries and see if they like the esthetics, the shape, and the feel of it. We then do a digital scan of the final temporary veneers and send it to the lab so the lab knows how to proceed with the final veneers. The shade of the final veneers is also chosen together with the patient and is ensured to be customized to patient overall facial esthetics.
After the veneers are permanently cemented, we make you a complimentary night guard/retainer to wear every night. This ensures that your veneers and your natural teeth are protected from any grinding or clenching. Additionally, just like taking care of your natural teeth, you have to brush 2x/day and floss 1x/ day and keep up with your every 4-6 month cleanings and check ups.
During the preparation and cementation appointment you will have to be given local anesthesia. The injections are the only part that may hurt throughout this whole process. With the local anesthetic, you won't feel anything throughout the treatment. We also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for patients who want extra comfort to alleviate their anxiety.
Post op sensitivity and slight gum soreness is expected, but all this can be alleviated with Ibuprofen and will decrease with time. Post op sensitivity can last up to 3 months.
